About me: I am Lashay White, but feel free to call me Shay.
Heal after Heartbreak was born out of my own hurt, heartbreak and disappointment. I went through seasons of ignoring, avoiding, unhealthy habits, and blaming God... until I surrendered to the only constant in my life, who showed me nothing but love and forgiveness, even in my pain: Jesus. Through His love and transforming power, I became someone who bears witness to His love and existence. I became the awe-inspiring me... free, at peace, surrendered, healed, whole with a vitality for life.
One piece of advice that I can give you out of my experience is... your feelings are not facts. They are up today and down tomorrow. Extremely inconsistent. You cannot build a solid foundation for your life on emotion, but you can build a solid foundation for your life on the word of God. He is consistent, He is an anchor, He fulfills His promises. You can trust God.
Instead of pouring your love into unhealthy relationships; conditional, draining, one-sided... give your all to God. He will provide for you, love you, support you and He wants a relationship with you. Obeying God is what I wish I had done from the very beginning... thankfully His grace is sufficient.
You can trust Him with your pain, tears, fears, and uncertainties. If you find yourself in love but the relationship makes you compromise, chase, lose peace and sanity... get into God's presence, seek His will and pray. He will align your life to His purpose and connect you to the right person. God is trustworthy, your emotions are not. He knows the thoughts and intention of every single person... you can trust Him.
My heart broke and God fixed it. Now I write books birthed from my seasons of pain, emotional spirals, tears, fears and uncertainty to help you to find healing. Healing doesn't happen overnight. It takes a continual effort to trust God despite your emotions.
I tried to heal outside of God and things got worse for me. I'm here to tell you that Jesus is the only way to true healing and freedom.... because He did it for me and I know He will do it for you. Have faith. On the other side of heartbreak is a new life and you, becoming the Awe-inspiring You... a you that is free, healed, whole and complete.... at peace, flourishing and prospering in everything that God puts your hands to.
